This small piece of cloth keeps ankle swelling down (over compression stockings) ALL DAY. My previous capability was less than 45 minutes...an AMAZING 'quality of life change!!!
I've been experiencing a good deal pain of to right foot/ankle. For the better portion throughout a year I do quite a bit of bicycling and hiking. Even in winter i do hiking at least once a week in spite of working full time. Pain has increased to where I've scaled back on things. I've found myself limping at work and other places. I've tried a different brand of compression ankle brace which did help matters. But when on for hours creates a new problem. Most other brands have open heal. Under compression this creates another problem as the areas to the circumference dug in and begin to hurt badly. Potential exists to create a pressure sore if left unattended. The product here has no open exposures. The heal has a nicely fitting fabric and there is no secondary complication. Also, this compression brace covers ALL of the foot (except tors) and goes higher up on the ankle, this covering more potential pain areas. It works!
Item was priced fairly. sized a bit tight. Delivered as promised. I have owned these compression (ankle socks with open toe) for about 6 weeks. They work well. I may order a second sock.
I'VE BEEN WEARS COMPRESSION STOCKINGS FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS . DOCTORS TOLD ME ALL THE STOP VALVES IN LEFT LOWER LEG WERE BAD AND COULD NEVER BE REPAIRED.MY LEG JUST BELOW KNEE WOULD SWELL 1.5 INCHES IN A DAY WITHOUT STOCK. 2 DAYS WOULD GO ANOTHER INCH IN DIAMETER.SO WHEN I WAS NOT IN BED I WORE THEM. I LIVED IN OHIO AND MOVED TO SW FLORIDA THIS YEAR . I WAS GOING WITHOUT MY STOCKING A DAY OR SO AND MEASURE EVERY DAY .IT ONLY GETS .5 INCH DAILY [ SAME AS RIGHT LEG ]. SO I QUIT WEARING ON THE LEFT LEG . AFTER A WEEK I NOTICED THE ANKLE AREA GETTING REAL PUFFY LOOKING.PUT STOCKING BACK ON AND WENT BACK DOWN TO NORMAL. SINCE THEN I'VE BEEN WEARING A STOCKING ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK WITH TOP PART ROLLED DOWN ALMOST TO ANKLE. IT SEEMS TO WORK OK . SO I FOUND YOUR COMPRESSION FOR ANKLE ONLY AND IT WORKS AS GOOD. DOWN IN SW FLORIDA WITH THE HEAT THE LESS CLOTHING COVERING BODY PARTS THE BETTER !
My feet are a little different. The right foot is 11.0 and the left foot is 10.5 . That makes choosing the size a challenge. I ordered two large and two extra large. The size is not indicated on the sock. I can work through that. The day I ordered one set I asked if there were any discounts. The service person said no. Two days later a discount came through if I bought more. I bought the 2nd ser. Just a little miffed that no one told me about the upcoming sale. The big issue is do they work. I have had my left ankle operated on and it seems that support would really help. It has helped a great deal The pain has been reduced and my mobility has been increased. This morning I walked 9 miles. Before using the sox the most I could do was 5. It would warm the cockles of my heart if 2 of the extra large sox were sent as a thank you for the time spent writing this review.
We noticed a FLAW in this sock through the plastic in which it was wrapped. Yet, I tried it on...fit fine and I'm certain it would have helped me left ankle/foot immensely, but I had to return it. That was over 2 weeks ago and still having heard from this outfit.
I decided to order over the phone. During the conversation I asked if there were any discounts available. The person taking the call said she would go check. She said there was nothing she could do. I ordered; and 2 days later received an email saying there was a 20% discount. The order was delivered on time at the at the quoted price, and they were the right size. The failure to disclose the pending sale was a bit annoying.
