It is thicker than a standard nylon/lycra sock (about the same thickness as a standard athletic sock) with additional thickness around the entire foot area, giving a new level of comfort in a support sock.

Great for exercise
These are great for any kind of exercise. They give me great support for my nagging foot sprains while I take zumba, barre, and kickboxing classes.

Ankle compression socks
This weekend was the first time I had a chance to try these compression socks. I bought them for playing golf so my feet and ankles would not swell. I have to say these are absolutely great, I wore them three days in a row and had no swelling of my feet or ankles whatsoever. I will definitely buy these again and will recommend them to anyone who has to wear compression socks for foot and ankle swelling.
