It is thicker than a standard nylon/lycra sock (about the thickness of a standard athletic sock), with additional thickness around the entire foot area, giving a new level of comfort in a support sock.

Athletic Crew Length Med Support Socks
Great socks, with a great fit. Have bought these over the past two years and have been very satisfied.

CUSTOMIZED THE SOCK
I wear a size 12. At first I bought the large which seemed to fit right but then it would pull at the toes as the day went on, so I then purchased the X-LARGE to solve that. For me the sock would leave too much of an indentation in leg so I cut off the binding of the sock and now they feel fine. They need to change the binding.

Outstanding quality at a great price
This is the third time that I have ordered these socks. The three pair that I bought 5 years ago finally wore out, so these are replacements. They fit well and keep my feet and calves from aching when I stand for long periods. I have 6 pair in total and wear these sock almost every day, so they get a lot of use. The only problem I have had is with the seam at the toe. Two pair needed a little repair after a year or so. Easy fix with a needle, thread, and a wooden ball. I don't suffer from major circulation problems, so these socks work well for me.
