The thickness is about that of a traditional athletic sock, so no need to worry about larger sized shoes.

Great product
These socks are great. I work standing up to relieve lower back issues, only to have developed swollen ankles. When I wear these socks, the swelling is kept at bay. They are very comfortable and stay in place. I highly recommend them. My foot is 81/2 US / 39 EU which used to translate to medium, but the foot and toe box are too large for me with that size, so I order small. (I do have a narrow foot.)

new design
I've bought these in the past, same size, same brand, same compression strength but this time there was a new logo on the bottom of the foot and every pair seems a bit tight at the top rim. Don't think it's me just slightly different from older design. Otherwise, love them!
